SOS For Parents: Episode 1 ~ Genesis

In the beginning, Yehovah created the entire universe with the spoken Word. We humans are made in His likeness. There's also power and authority in our words. When it comes to parenting children, we would do well to safeguard this principle.

When speaking to our children, we should do our best as parents to say what we mean and mean what we say. If a child does not heed our clear instructions the first time, we should be sure follow up with some sort of [appropriate] consequence. And if we tell our child "No" to something, we should be sure to "stick to our guns" and not allow continual requests for the same thing.
